My family has decided to move in a different direction and I’m selling my RV-10 kit. I’m mid-way through the wing kit with one wing *almost* to Quickbuild stage, with both ailerons and both flaps wrapped up. There are a couple spots on the rudder and tailcone that aren’t perfect that I’ve shown in pictures, but it's I've had a few people check the whole kit out and say it looks good. I also have the Sky Designs Aero Extended Range RV-10 tanks at around 80% done, with all of the ribs riveted and sealed into place as well as dual fuel senders for both.
Wings don't have the LCP issue, but the empennage was affected. I put in for the LCP replacements and received the crate with them that is now in my garage.
Currently I'm looking to get $27,500 as-is for both kits and extras (I won't split them) with preferred local pickup (Maricopa, AZ) or buyer does the legwork for shipping. On top of that, I currently have $10,000 down in deposits for the rest of the kits (fuselage and finishing) right now that I’d be willing to negotiate with a buyer on (I talked to Vans on what the process might be to transfer it to another person. I can relay that and build a plan with serious buyers).
For reference, current prices are $37,800 if you order an RV-10 quickbuild wing (the left wing is almost to that stage) and the empennage. Right now the current cost of the empennage and slowbuild wing is $25,150. This doesn't include the extras I have listed below (like the extended range tanks that might be more difficult to get now).
I do have a few different upgrades, including the wiring for and charge kit setup for the White Lightning kit, some of the autopilot mounts, and one of the GSA28 autopilots. Also:
- Sky Designs Aero Extended Range RV-10 tanks (I also have wired in dual fuel senders for them) that are *almost* complete (these might be harder to come by after Vans minimized their kit modifications now, I haven't looked into that at all)
- FlyLED "The Works" Wingtip and tail lights (already installed and tested, video on builder log)
- Garmin Pitot tube with control box (the more expensive one) with the pitot-static kit
- Electric Trim bundles for the kits
I'm not interested in getting rid of my tools quite yet, but anything RV-10 is good to go (spare hardware I've collected and whatnot).
