rudder cable interference

Hi yes i had that we trimmed and rounded the edges of the of the stops but in flight under load the cables dont go near the stops but we didnt like the interference so a little trimming and rounding the edges relieved the problem.Slow build 8a this weekend finished 25 hr test & took up first pax.

I moved the stops on my RV6 to avoid the problem. There are other posts with pictures somewhere here.

James... Almost everyone's RV-8 rudder cables snag on the stops... if you follow the Van's instructions :eek:

Try moving the stops up enough to clear them... as Van's advised us to do ;)

A friend of yours, Rob I think, said you were having these problems. When are you moving it to the airport? Make sure you make some type of gust lock system before you move it out there. It gets very windy and very shifty. Stop by and I will show you a very cheap but effective one that I made.

moving I hope within a few weeks? maybe? thanks for the reminder re gust lock- - will add to list of "must have" for moving day.
