I'm New Here
Could the experienced RV 12 builders advise if there are any reasons why the rudder pedals & brakes, and fuel lines could not be installed before rivetting the side skins in place,as it is all so open and accessable on the bench at the moment...thanx roger

They're in the way

You're going to be running lots of wiring up through the tunnel and over past the pedals-- in fact, there's a over-rudder wireway to hold a bunch of it up out of the way. If you have the pedals assemblies completed and test-fitted, it's a lot easier to add them later than it is to work around them. Don't forget to use Loctite 567 onall the elbows in the brake system!

good idea

We did all the brake lines and fuel lines before side skinning. we left the pedals installed. Suppose we will just work around them. check out my build blog here : www.unicom12.blogspot.com

So far so good with ours. Good luck to you. FYI : we rolled the fuse on it's side for fuel line install. Also rolled the fuse upside down to install the pedals. Fighting gravity was not fun.
