Hello,
We have an RV-4 bought flying and after 12 years and approximately 1000 hours we are noticing some movement in the left rudder pedal mounting bracket F460. It does not seem the rivets to the firewall are loose. Rather because it is mounted across the join of the upper and lower firewall the upper part is unsupported. What have other people done here, a shim so the bracket is flat against the firewall over its whole length?
Also the AN3 hole in F460 and the AN4 hole in the centre rudder pedal mounting bracket F444 have worn oversize. Has anybody bushed these holes back to a tighter fit?
