the nose pieces for my riviter have holes that i think should be smaller to fit the rivit mandrel tighter. i took 1/4'' alum. stock and made a 3/8''diameter cylinder 1/4'' long. a wire drill [#50 i think] makes a hole .070'' this just slips over the rivit mandrel with no play. when the rivit is pulled there is no hint of a ''smile'' around the hole in the center of the rivit head. after doing the vert. stab. skin the hole in my new tool is still a pretty good fit on the rivit but today i think i will make one out of steel and eliminate wear.
yea, it's one more step to slip it on the rivit but on a four hour job what? 10 minutes?
