I made all my canopy fairing on my slider out of fiberglass. I need to rivet on those aluminum gussets that go from the side fairing to the inside of the slider frame tube. Since the gusset is so this 0.025 and fiberglass is softer than aluminum the gusset will pucker around the rivet. Is this an appropriate application for a soft rivet or is there a better solution?

These are the gussets I am referring to:

I use 1/8 soft al rivets for fiberglass. I have found that AD rivets will crack the glass when set.

Using 1/8" soft rivets as an alternative to the 3/32 AD rivets is a good option. Ill have to look up the specs for the soft rivets to compare. I think there is enough edge distance as well.
