Pual B. and I are building two RV-8 -1 fusealge kits side by side, at the moment we are looking at riveting on the gear tower assembly to the floor (F-822} There 4 rivets that are flush on the top side of the the lower longeron 2 are foward of the gear tower assembly and 2 are aft. The rivets are in close proximity to the out broard weldment that extends forward and aft of the gear towers. Looks like it could be diffcult to rivet these 8 rivets. Our question, could we celco the gear towers in place continue the build, then after fitting, drilling and dimpling the skins. Before riveting the skins on, removing the gear towers and riveting the lower longeron to the floor thus squeezing most if not of all the rivets, then riveting the gear towers in there proper sequence.
