ok,.. ordered my first package of rivets,.... 426AD3-3.5.....
they get here fine,. BUT,.. they are copperish color,.. not at all like the shiney aluminum from my brother gave me to get started...

is it just a vendor pref,.. or did someone put the wrong thing in the wrong bag? ( they are same size ,.. dia and length as the others)

I really don't want to be drilling out these things if it is all screwed up,..

Wallace,

Nothing wrong with the rivets, color will vary with supplier and from batch to batch. Just check the head and see if there is a tiny dimple in the center. If it's there, you're good to go. You should check the old batch as some softer rivets have no coatings. They are for working in fiberglass and such. BTW, the dimple is handy when you have to drill 'em out.
