My '94 O320 powered RV-6 has its original exhaust which is cracked at the Union of two pipes. I've had it repaired three times in the last 8 weeks but it continues to crack in the same place. I cannot identify what type it is but it does not look like a Vetterman. It seems like the Vetterman 4 into 2 exhaust is a time tested good choice. Are there any other recommended options? Just looking for a durable solution.

Thanks in advance for your knowledge,
Hank

Vetterman Exhaust has proven to be excellent in the RV world hands down! The standard crossover is bullet proof.

My Vetterman exhaust cracked at a union. When I talked to Vetterman about it, he said it sounds like the slip-joint was seized. He was right. His recommendation was to lubricate the slip-joints with Mouse Milk. I didn't get that info when the pipes were new. After he welded up the pipe and reinstallation with Mouse Milk, no more cracks. I made sure to relubricate all slip-joints at condition inspections and any other convenient times.
