Some of you who have had loose nosegear on an -A may recognize the bolt #...!

We had some wobble on the nosegear of the 9A, and the AN175-20 close tolerance bolt we tried for fit still left a bit of wiggle in the gear leg hole, so we're going to go with the NAS6605-25X (and the Loctite 609).

Does anyone have a reamer we could borrow or rent for this job? The grip diameter on the bolt is 0.327", and the good folks at Genuine Aircraft Hardware have the PPR-.3261 reamer, but if we could borrow or rent one from someone who's done this job, we'd be grateful.

I'm not sure you will get the exact size that you want. Check out Brown Tool. They have a good selection of reamers and they have a great deal on some new surplus ones. I found this one which is pretty close to what you were looking for.

Vouch for Doug

He may have been from New Mexico, but NM Doug is now MN Doug, and part of the crew in Minneapolis. I've been helping with the nose gear and can vouch that we will return anything that he borrows.

It will be nice to get that bolt fit snugged up.
