I'm New Here
I ruined the rear bulkhead on an RV6 tailwheel partially completed project. When I drilled it out, many of the holes are now misshaped or enlarged. AD4 rivets will fit in several already. After reading many rivet repair threads and seeing the conflicting suggestions, I have decided to replace the doubled bulkhead with AD4 rivets.

But to add an additional margin, I'm considering using a factory bulkhead for the rear facing piece of the bulkhead and fabricating the forward facing bulkhead with a wider (longer?) flange. This will allow me to use AD4 rivets in the existing holes and add another row of AD3 rivets forward of those.

Is there something I'm missing or is this a reasonable idea?

Thanks,
Mark Cantrell
