I've seen posts of removing wing walk material before painting. You can get away with using some abrasive pads and chemicals, however

Anyone removed wing walk material from a painted wing?

The stick on type is a snap

I removed wing walk material a few years back from a painted wing by very carefully using a heat gun and peeling the material back at a 90 degree angle. Then cleaned up the glue residue with a little MEK.
This was the stick on type and not the paint on type.

The MEK didn't affect the paint? Is "Goo-Be-Gone" safe for airplanes and would it work in this case?
