I have searched the forum and seems not much useful info on removing firmly stuck film on the skin. I recently purchased an RV8 kit partially completed from a deceased estate, the film had been on for 10 yrs plus, some of the lower film came of with a bit of heat from hot gun and scratch and roll, but the upper film was welded on! Heat ,scratching and sore fingernails, not good. I had some acrylic thinners on hand, I placed a cotton tee shirt over the film and wet it up very wet. Then sat a piece of aluminium on the tee shirt to stop evaporation, 12 hours later, the film all peeled straight off. Amazing . Remember safety when using this method, no mobile phones, battery drills ignition sources, lock up you hangar…. Make sure you quickly wipe away the glue as it will dry and reset
