For those of you who are familiar with the Red Box/Red Fin articles done by Mike Busch, I was wondering if anyone knows the reason the red fin chart appears to max out at 85% power? From what I can tell, standard Lycoming power charts can be used all the way up to the max hp for a particular engine, which would be 100% power.

I'm I missing something here?

Could it be because, above 85%, you should be at full rich mixture?
