Hi ya'll,
After 210 nearly trouble free hours, the fuse for my fuel pump blew. I originally sized my fuses to the smallest value that seemed reasonable based on current draw and wire size. For my low pressure van's (facet) fuel pump I originally picked a 3 amp ATO fuse.
Well - I think on a hot day the inrush current was a little high. So, I can offer the following recommendation: Use at least a 5 amp fuse - I just switched it and all is well.
For the record - my RV has needed the least maintenance of any plane I've owned. The only other problem was the original Vans alternator failed at about 50 and 75 hrs (then I switched to plane power).
