Hi all-
RV4 plans don't specify a rear tie down. Just curious how you all do it? Any clever ideas, or should I just copy the -8 and bolt in a tie down bracket on the rear bulkhead?
Any ideas/pics appreciated.
Cheers,
Eric

I am not aware of any tie down ring on any of the RV tailwheel airplanes. For the last 15-years, I just tie the tail spring or tail wheel down with the rope or chain at the airport. I have not seen any RV tailwheel airplanes in the last 15-years do any different than I do.

If someone does something different with their tailwheel RV, please post a photo of your setup.

8A?

The rear tiedown bracket in the -8 must be for the 8A; I didn't think about that. Seems like tying the tailwheel itself would scuff things up.

I have always tied taildraggers down by the tailwheel - a clove hitch around the spring on and RV is plenty secure.
