I'm still not sure of the outcome of this probem. But here it is for others.
On drawing 30a, when you are installing the right console (F8101) you will eventually rivet the F804NPP (fuse cap), make sure that the cap is pushed up as far as it will go before drilling the hole near the spar box.
The picture on the plans. show the F804NPP butted up against the spar web. IT DOES NOT!! move it back up as far as you can.
I've drilled a nice 1/8 deep #30 hole in my "spar bar", most are saying not a problem, but, I'm waiting for word from vans.
