Everyone: This is to announce the third annual "Race to Ridgeland" to be held at Ridgeland Airport, SC (3J1) on Saturday, May 3rd, this year (rain date May 10th). I'm hoping any and all RV's in the region will join us for a great fun day of flying. Check out the details at www.racetoridgeland.com.
The "Race" is a handicapped, 125 nm best speed closed course that starts and ends at Ridgeland (no need to land before you fly the course). The course "opens" at 9:00 am and we want the last airplane to cross the finish line at 11:30 or before (see the website for details). Trophies for 1st through 3rd and Fastest Overall and a heckofagoodtime for everyone else!
The "church ladies" will have food, beverages, hats, and T-shirts for sale, there will be a new Mooney Acclaim demonstrator to see, formation flying by the RV Palmetto Flight and some local CJ-6 guys, a spot landing contest, support from the Civil Air Patrol Cadets, and on and on. We always have a great time. Hope some of you can make it!!
