I am building an rv-8, so I don't know much about the -10. I have a question regarding the way the fiber glass top is bonded to the metal.

How is the process done? Are there re-enforcing cross bars on the tail end of the fuse? Ribs, bulk head? Any information would be great.

Aft part of the fiberglass top has a joggle that the forward most tailcone metal panel sits on top of. This is at the rear baggage bulkhead (where the baggage wall attaches). There are a couple of rivet lines that connect it all together - with proseal between the tailcone panel and cabin top to seal it all up. Blind rivets are used to attach the sides from the tailcone up to the door frames. Fiberglass door frames have countersunk machine screws through them and the corresponding part of the metal lower fuselage. There is a layer of epoxy/flox mixture between these parts to eliminate gaps.
