A quick question on the process of registering my plane. I have an N number reserved and now need to proceed with the registration process. I have read on the FAA website that I need to contact them and submit a ten dollar fee to have the N number assigned. My question is this. Is this the time I send them Form 1050-1 and 8130-12 or is that a separate process? I have tried to speak with someone at the registration office in OK. but have been put on perpetual hold. Thanks

You don't need to send the 8130-12 to Oklahoma City. You will give that to your inspector.
Registration fee is $5. The $10 was to reserve the number and you have done that already.
Just send a letter stating that you want your "reserved" number assigned to this aircraft.
