I have prosealed and installed the inboard and outboard ribs for my 7a wing but waited to attach the reinforcing plates and attach bracket(t405). The cured proseal now interferes with the plates setting flush against the rib web. Can I put the reinforcing plate on top of the proseal and then add more proseal to the edges/rivet heats of the plate?

Maybe yes maybe no.

Cleaning the old "stuff" out to get a good SCUFFED (and CLEAN) metal to metal surface before applying the ProSeal is the BEST way and it WILL seal if clean and scuffed.
