I?m sure this is a stupid question but feel compelled to ask it anyway since it was tucked away on the last thread about window installation and no one said anything about it.
Can we use Proseal to mount the windows to the frame? Has anyone done this? I know it?s done this was on other aircraft this way but curious why epoxy seems to the solution over something like Proseal for the RV-10?

Proseal is a sealant, so it's not designed to be structural. The shear strength is something like 295 psi with a peel strength of about 35 psi. The weld-on is around 2500 psi for shear. I believe epoxy and some of the others are similar.

Proseal will not hold your windows! They probably use it on metal window frames not composite structures.
