I?m at a point where I need to make modifications to the tail section for the Show Planes fastback.
Before I commit to it, I need some insight.
This modification is based off looks and forward visibility alone, with that said I want to make sure I?m not making sacrifices other then rear visibility and some extra work.
1) Show Planes cowl :
Will a longer prop spacer cause premature crank/bearing wear?
Are they safe?
Will the extension negatively affect handling chararistics?
Will the longer cowl make a big difference in forward visibility on the ground?
2) Fast Back canopy :
Is the deleted front canopy support and then added mid roll bar as safe in the event of a flip?
Any additional air/wind/noise/water leaks to the standard slider?
I know there are a lot of conditions and variables in the questions but trying to get some insight before I commit to go down that path.
