I just became aware of a requirement of a "Program Letter" you must submit to the FSDO in order to obtain an AW certificate. For an ELSA the following is required to be posted in clear view of the passenger, and to comply apparently must include words passenger and experimental spelled incorrectly on your panel warning:

"PASSENTER NOTICE - THIS AIRCRAFT IS AN EXPERMENTAL

LIGHT-SPORT AIRCRAFT AND DOES NOT COMPLY WITH

FEDERAL SAFETY REGULATIONS FOR STANDARD AIRCRAFT."

I cannot however find the necessary wording for the warning on an EAB aircraft, don't know if it must be spelled wrong as well.

Don,
Didn't I send you a paperwork package? The exact wording is on the program letter that I send out.
 
Yes Mel, you did. I had thought later that is where I should have looked. I notice there is disagreement as to if it should say "Passenger Warning" or "Passenger Notice". Does it really make any difference?
 
The FAA AC uses these words -

?Passenger Warning: This aircraft is amateur-built and does not comply with Federal safety regulations for standard aircraft.?

paragraph 136 of this order are applicable for amateur-built aircraft. During operation outside the

Don, It should read "PASSENGER WARNING".

David, I notice in your picture that your airspeed indicator has the range markings on the glass. When done this way, you need to include an "anti-rotation" mark continuing from the glass across the bezel. This shows if the glass has rotated, thereby moving the range markings.
