Flying through light rain yesterday and static was bad...could still hear ATC but I didn't care for it. I've had static this bad on larger aircraft but it was normally associated with heavy precipitation or large snow-flakes causing lots of static and Saint Elmos Fire.

Searched VAF and haven't found definite solution...anyone solve their p-static issues with wicks and/or bonding?

Thanks! Tim

I built my rv10 with static wicks from the very beginning. I have not had the issue in 8 years of instrument flying. I do know someone with a 10 who has had significant issues, which are now fixed by installing static wicks. Mine are installed on the ailerons, flaps, elevator and vert. Stab. I also have bonding straps across the hinges
