I have a PS Engineering PMA8000B audio panel. The pushbuttons and marker lamps dim automatically. However, there is also an option for "unit backlighting".

The instructions say to connect to a dimmer or "if a dimmer is not used, a constant back light can be established".

The wire is already in the harness that I got from Stark. I don't plan on doing much night flying so should I -
1) not bother with this wire,
2) connect it to my panel light switch without a dimmer,
3)connect it to the same dimmer that I'm using for my Nulites,
4) put in another dimmer (like the one from Perihelion)?

Backlight

I would connect it to the existing dimmer you are using for the nu-lites. If you leave it unhooked, you won't be able to read the labels at night. My 0.02
