I was planning to run a bead of RTV along the lower edge of the windscreen (RV9A-Slider), where the glass meets the forward skin. My thought was to use just enough to fill the gap and prevent any unsightly filler from seeping onto the glare shield.

Anyone have any comments as to whether or not RTV will "attack" the plastic?

i used black urethane 3M window weld

other places on the canopy. careful with the rtv as i could inhibit adhesion to the plexi. i did a canopy for a freind and pulled most of it off . he tried to fill the trench at the front of the wind screen.....dont do that....you can back fill it if you insist, but dont let it come through to the front side.tape it off or something.
