The main issues can be found here along with my extensive comment submittal.

You can also access the NPRM and comment site via aopa.org

This will force most/many GA aircraft owners to install a costly (~$17,000 per plane per the FAA) ADS-B Out avionics for which there is little to no benefit to GA pilots. I consider that I get ZERO benefit from it.

You can review some of the comments on pages 4-7 of the comments section to get a feel for the overall GA attitude to this NPRM. Except for a few who want to require full ADS-B In and Out functionality, the overwhelming response is against this NPRM.

But it will take many more comments to even have a chance of beating it. All it takes is a few minutes to review my response and some of the others and submit a short response against it.

If this is implemented, GA will be negatively impacted. More people will quit flying. Flying to Centennial will be out unless you equip. Flying to a mountain airport for breakfast will be out unless you equip. Forget about flying into COS. All aircraft under a Mode C veil around Class B will have to equip if they have an electrical system.

Please take a few minutes to educate yourself on this NPRM and submit a short response opposing it before 3 March.
