B bobnoffs Well Known Member Aug 5, 2019 #1 the platenuts acs offers in k1000-06 seem very flimsy compared what vans offers. there is at least a third more material between the nut and the rivet hole with vans. anyone else shy away from the acs style or is the extra metal just weight?

fl-mike Well Known Member Aug 5, 2019 #2 The ears only have to sustain the torque of the screw until the clamp-up occurs. A non-issue.
