After reading posts on both sides of the plastic brake lines issue, I decided to follow the plans.

After two condition inspections, and several iterations of air getting in the plastic lines,

I give up.

Here's what I think:

Here's the fix:

Have 27 years on my plastic brakes lines (from reservoir to MCs to calipers)....only trouble was when a friend cooked one practicing high speed taxis...Seem like optimal solution (light/visually inspectable/long useful life/cheap) MTCents J N95JF

Nothng wrong with your setup... until you need to bleed them
Checking the fluid level goes from being easy-breezy to **#@$%^$#

level

Since it's an RV-8, Checking the fluid level is really easy. The hardest part is removing the forward baggage compartment floor, which I do anyway for the condition inspection.
