Has anyone ever discovered which alternator rectifier is used in these alternators? My expectation is that is is not a proprietary item, but I see no part numbers that mean anything. I also know enough to not tell someone where the alternator is used. Actually it is on an airboat that has an old airplane engine on it.

PP alternators are based on Denso designs. You need to know the rotor diameter and case size. Either take it to an alternator/starter shop to match up a part or find a catalog online. WAI has a good one: http://www.electricmotorsvc.com/pdf/87-500-07_Alt_Cat.pdf
