Anyone have experience with this oil separator? Asking for a friend with an O-320 RV-9.

Thanks!!

No one ever replied to this apparently. I was curious, since I know builders have drilled them and stuffed Brillo SS inside. What shape baffling does ACS the manuf. put in there? Is it empty, or designed to put the vapors into motion of some kind while in the canister?

I had one on my -6A when it first flew. Looked good but did not seperate oil at all. Had the drain going to a small container on the firewall and it never had a drop of oil in 50+ hours. Replaced with another that worked sort of.

Now have an -AntiSplat and am very happy.

The round can has made it thru 3 aircraft type garage sales, the last price was "free" and I still have it

I have one and it separates the oil from the engine to the underbelly.
I like the idea of adding a brillo type screen. Any other input on that?

Bruce, since it seems to have no value, how about a dissection?
Or send it to me and I will. If it truly is worthless, Spruce should know. Still in their catalog. Still curious if it is a simple can with a baffle in front of the inlet. Sort of like the plastic flap in my wet vac from Home Depot.
