I just saw in EAA's electronic newsletter that Wicks has partnered with Phenix Industries to provide hand tightening, locking hose fittings.

What do you guys think? Do they look like something that would be worth investing in for the peace of mind that your fuel fittings would never come loose?

Thanks in advance,
Shannon

I could not see these to understand their possible usefulness. However, I have to question whether your underlying concern is valid.

How many cases of a fuel/oil line fitting coming loose....and that were properly torqued....are you aware of? I just did a quick check of mine since the cowl was off for a starter replacement. No sign of any coming loose. No such problem in over 1600 hours.

Whether these items become the preferred system in aircraft is unknown. One thing is certain. Use quality, aviation grade components in the fuel/oil systems, use approved mounting/routing/support methods and install them properly.
