Hi folks,

Yesterday I was playing with my audio panel garmin 240 and is not compatible with iphone to make phone calls (works great with music), I tried a motorolla and worked but anyway I don?t like all that wires in the cockpit, so I have been thinking about installing a Parrot (Car handsfree phone adapter) that use bluetooth to interface my iphone with garmin 240.

Anyone has try it?, any ideas?

Thanks

Bluetooth didn't work for me but that was a while back

Hi Fernando,

Not played with those particular components (though I am installing a Garmin 240 in my RV-7 so will be interested in how you get on).

For a while some time ago I did try to use a RAM-mounted PDA with mapping software connected to a bluetooth GPS receiver. It worked sporadically but the bluetooth connection was too unreliable for practical use.

Maybe today's bluetooth h/w-s/w is better but reconfiguring bluetooth pairings while flying is not something you want to be doing!!

Best of Luck,
