comfortcat Well Known Member Friend Feb 16, 2014 #1 I have a three part panel from Affordable Panels that is .085 (.086?) and I was wondering if I can use a panel punch on that thickness? I'm cutting the left side but will send the right out for cutting. Dkb

bruceh Well Known Member Friend Feb 16, 2014 #2 Should be no problem using a punch on that thickness. Lube helps!
Mike S Senior Curmudgeon Feb 16, 2014 #3 Yes, but it is a bit of effort. I found that cutting about half way through, then rotating the punch 90* helped a lot, the punch cuts better at the beginning of a cut. For sure lube the threads on the center bolt.
