I have a nicely painted interior and now debating whether I shall paint the fuel tank (except bottom skin) or not.
If I paint it, it would much better integrate in terms of the look, in case I opt not to cover the tank with the carpet.
Not painting the tank is obviously lighter and might be much more desirable in case of a leak. In that case I would go with the tank carpet.
What I already painted is the fuel tank filler neck.

So I am interested in how other builders did it? Paint the tank or leave it with shiny Alclad?
Thank you for your opinions and experiences.

I painted the filler neck and left the tank unpainted. I have a light material with a rubber back covering the top of the tank. Just personal preference.
