I decided to buy a flying RV-4 to keep my skills and motivation up while building my RV-8. This RV-4 (N485AB) really is amazing aircraft. The airplane won a Bronze Lindy in 1991 and Best Kit Built award at SnF a year later.
The airplane still looks new, but there are couple of nicks and chips that I want to repair. Unfortunately, there is no documentation of what type of paint was used or the color codes.
The builder was a gentleman named Andy Bajc out of Lincoln, NE. I found such a person who apparently works for Duncan Aviation in Lincoln and sent him an email. No response, so I don't know if this is the guy or not.
If any of you know him and would be willing to ask him about the paint type and color codes that would be great. This guy really did an amazing job.
Alternately some suggestions on how to identify the paint manufacturer would be helpful.
