Some time ago there was a thread with the answer but I can't find it.
I plan to paint the interior with Sherwin Williams Jet Flex solvent based primer and paint.
Some of my parts have Sherwin Williams P60G2. I sprayed a bulkhead before I realized it would get interior paint.

The question is...
How do I prep the P60G2 so the JetFlex will stick properly? Wipe or spray with lacquer thinner? Sanding with 400 might be tricky with all the rivets.

I have the same issue on several parts and called SW. they said to scuff thoroughly with red scotchbrite and sand flat areas with 400 grit wet/dry sandpaper. You may already have the spec sheet, but here it is.

I later switched to a three part epoxy. All these primers including their high build primers must be scuffed/sanded after 24 to 36 hrs dry time before top coated according to the SW rep.

Thanks Mark. I suspected that would be the answer.
P60G2 is pretty tenacious. I cleaned a scrap part and it took serious rubbing with scotch brite soaked in lacquer thinner.
Thankfully, it's only one bulkhead.
