On the Stewart DVD, they say to pressure wash after using the acid etch, being sure to wash thoroughly around seams and rivets.

I have seen some corrosion between pieces that were pop riveted together on a QB kit. Probably sat out in the rain in the Philippines. Corroded in spite of the Alclad and the wash primer.

So, if I pressure wash, forcing that water between the seams under mega psi, won't I be setting it up for corrosion? Will the water just sit there or will it eventually dry out? Seems like is should dry; otherwise planes that are polished, not painted would corrode...But then, why did that QB kit corrode?

Dry it out

Not getting all the acid etch off and out of the lap joints will cause a lot more problems than some water. A warm spot and good air circulation will take care of any residual water.
