On the Stewart DVD, they say to pressure wash after using the acid etch, being sure to wash thoroughly around seams and rivets.
I have seen some corrosion between pieces that were pop riveted together on a QB kit. Probably sat out in the rain in the Philippines. Corroded in spite of the Alclad and the wash primer.
So, if I pressure wash, forcing that water between the seams under mega psi, won't I be setting it up for corrosion? Will the water just sit there or will it eventually dry out? Seems like is should dry; otherwise planes that are polished, not painted would corrode...But then, why did that QB kit corrode?
