Most likely a silly question....but, if you look at the first picture below you will see a brass fitting in the location where the throttle cable is suppost to go through and connect to the linkage. Does this brass piece get removed and not used? Maybe it is for another type of throttle connection, but I can't find any reference to it. I've also included a picture of page 50-05 for easy review. Yes, you have it right, the brass adjuster that you have pictured gets removed, and the adjuster that is supplied on the cable takes its place, as depicted in the drawing.

You will come back and adjust these parts later when you do the carb synchronization.
