The instructions say to drill the holes in the spacers out to #12. This doesn't seem right as then the rivets have nothing to grip. Unless they are just using the back side of the expanded rivet as a guide, not to hold the block. Anybody have an answer to this?

Hey John

I did not go back and look, but you must be talking about the plastic blocks that go inside the flaperon actuator brackets. Yes, they just help hold them in place. Does not really grip them. The glue does the work. Once the flaperons are in place, the plastic blocks can not move out of place.
