There is a cushion clamp that holds the fuel return line against the firewall. The screw, AN525-10R7, that holds the cushion clamp, interferes with removing a gascolator bowl screw. If the gascolator bowl needs to be removed for future maintenance, it will be necessary to remove tunnel covers inside of the cockpit and crawl in to loosen the cushion clamp screw. Having to do that might discourage someone from inspecting the gascolator screen. Possible fixes are to shorten the screw or use extra washers. Van's Aircraft should move the nutplate on future kits to avoid interference.
