Hey all- does anybody know offhand if I need to use the P-mag supplied jumper diode to reduce the tach output signal voltage from 12 to 5 volts for an input to pin 8 on the GEA24?

I believe that the answer is no, but a quick review of the mammoth G3X manual hasn't yielded a solid answer.

As the output signal from the P-mag is 12 V and the input on the GEA24 is 12 V
the diode is not required.
As pin 1 on the P-mag is connected to GND, the GEA24 input pin 7 also have to
be connected to GND to get a correct rpm reading.

Good luck
