Due to an unfortunate work commitment, I'm not going to be able to go to the big airshow this weekend, but I was able to volunteer some help to a friend that went out today to set up a Tuskegee Airmen historical display. There were a handful of Mustangs on base already, and of few of the airshow performers had already arrived. As luck would have it, my friend is well acquainted with one of them:

We had a nice 20 minute chat about flying, kids, and flying RVs with kids. While I'd still like to have been able to go to the big show, it was pretty nice to be there a couple of days before the big crowd and see some of the preparations that go into something as complex as a big show like this one.
