As for terrestrial RV's in Camp Scholler, this is the winner for biggest (so far).

16 hauling wheels (10 on dual rear, dually truck and 6 more on tri-ax trailer).
Apparently 12 more wheels rode inside trailer (Maverick truck & two JD's).

1784227296030.jpegWas visiting HBC this morning and only saw one plane taxi in (Bearhawk I think?).
While out on the grounds, Security is much tighter on vehicle credentials & speeds.
Smoke? yep it's annoying to the point of irritation.

I put on a mask today to breath in smoky Ann Arbor, MI. It helped a lot. If you have any masks remaining from Covid or friends do, see if you can grab a few. I think a cloth mask that has been wetted down might get rid of most of the irritating particulates in the air you breath.

FWIW ground level smoke haze is about the same as yesterday (vis ~1 sm?) - but is currently low level and thin. Above/thru it there's blue sky w/ high scattered cirrus.
No telling what it'll do as day advances, Your visibility may vary (YVMY)

As you probably saw, the approach from Endeavor to Ripon to OSH was a solid mass of airplanes yesterday.
Many pissed off, horror stories of planes cutting in line.
Reckon it'll be the same once the field & approaches open again.
Nice to be on the ground πŸ˜‰

Wx not looking good for today (smoke) or tomorrow (rain/T-storms). Rest of the week looking better.

Lots of space in all aircraft camping areas. I’ve never seen it this empty this close to show start. You guys flying the VFR arrival be extra careful as it’s gonna be a Charlie Foxtrot when the field goes MVFR or VFR.
