Looking at the EAA Parking Guidelines, it says that engines may not be started at the campsite. On dep aircraft must be pushed out of the campsite. If one is parked near the washroom area that's a long push to the paved taxiway. Am i reading this wrong?

From past experience, I have gotten help to push my plane from its parking spot out into the taxi lane between parked aircraft and started from there. Bottom line: be considerate of others campsites and aircraft. I would also consider bringing 2 or 3 pieces of 1/2" plywood about 18" x 18" to roll the gear on prior to tying the plane down. Tires tend to sink into the ground while parked making it difficult to leave.

You just have to turn ninety degrees into the grass taxiway so your prop wash doesn't knock over a tent. If it gets muddy, then you may want to pull it out to a hard surface before starting.
