I purchased the foam seat cores for my RV4 from Oregon Aero a few years ago and I now have an installation question concerning the front seat, bottom cushion. I am using the Hooker Harness 5 point restraint system and I am wanting to know how to install the crotch strap. Should the strap pass in front of the cushion or was it intended for the strap to be passed through a hole in the cushion? The second method would require cutting a slot in the foam and the seat cover to get the strap to pass through. I think it can be done either way but since I have already had the seat covers installed I want to find out what others have done before I start cutting holes in my seats.

crotch strap and seat pad

Jerry you will have to cut a slot through your seat pad to run the crotch strap through. The upholstery cover could be altered to accept the change. My -4 is setup this same way....check out other RVs and you'll see this is done exclusively.
It will be a nuisance BUT safety first.

Good Luck,
