This thread has me thinking I should put in new rudder cables.

I'm still not sure if this applies to US birds, but looking into it won't hurt.

Part of my motivation is possibly adding another joint to the cable, mid length, to securely attach some rear rudder pedals.

So having never ordered such a thing from spruce, is the quality there? Will the length be accurate? Should I look for a different supplier?

fyi my current cables do not match the RV-4 drawing, which shows a threaded turnbuckle end. My cable is fixed length, fork at one end, eye at the other.

unrelated to the cable AD, but

Do you just wish to use a different technique from Van's stock rear pedals? Mine have pushrods going to the front pedals. (The pushrods are a bit of a pain when removing the front floorboards on either side of the front seat...)

Cable routing through the bulkhead near the pedal may have to be modified, if you attach the pedal to the cable there.
