I'm curious about the clearance between the 45 degree restrictor fitting on the accessory case and the engine mount.
My O-290-D2 uses a conical mount and should be about the same case as an O-320, except for the mounts.
I have about an 1/8" clearance between the fitting in the engine mount and my fear is that the fitting will be knocked off as the engine moves around.
How close is your fitting?

I have sent these pictures off to Vans to see what they think. It might be that the engine in a conical mount sits closer to those tubes than an dynocoal engine.
