I'm installing the oil line fitting on the engine. I purchased steel fittings, one straight (AN816-8) and one 45 deg (AN823-8) because that what Van's called for on the plans.
My engine has a 90 deg filter adapter so I had to put the AN823 on the Oil Return (upper) port. The plans seem to specify the AN823 on the "To Cooler" (lower) port.
Question: Can I use the AN816 on the lower port or should I get another AN823? Is the AN823 the best option for the upper port or would a 90 deg (AN822) be even better? I already have VAN pre-made Oil cooler hoses that I would like to use
